AB CROMOCOL FOUNDED
AB Cromocol was founded in 1945 in Stockholm. Back then, focus was on paint and raw material testing – hence the name Cromocol. As one of the pioneers in laboratory equipment, material testing and supply within Scandinavia, Cromocol's legacy still echoes today.
CROMOCOL SCANDINAVIA AB
The company moved to Borås 2002 where it still operates from today. AB Cromocol changes to Cromocol Scandinavia AB. During this time Cromocol adds service and calibration to the portfolio.
A NEW ERA BEGINS
Andreas Hagberg has been a part of Cromocol since 2007. In 2011 he joins the management team – and a new era of expansion begins.
ERNSTRÖMGRUPPEN
Cromocol becomes a part of Ernströmgruppen. This enables accelerated growth and new market reach.

In 2023 Cromocol has 4 major focus areas; Energy Science, Laboratory Testing, Weathering and Climatic Solutions. The majority of customers are focused on solving the issues of tomorrow. Cromocol Scandinavia AB acquired Paper Testing Equipment Sweden AB. This strategic acquisition marks an exciting development for our business and underlines our commitment to deliver industry-leading solutions in material testing & quality control.
LABROTEK LTD (OY)
Cromocol Scandinavia AB entered into an agreement to acquire LabroTek Ltd (Oy), a leading provider of material testing and quality control equipment in Finland. This strategic move strengthens our position in Northern Europe.
