ERICHSEN Model 608 Basic Series Corrosion Testing Instruments
The ERICHSEN Corrosion Testing Instrument Model 608 Basic Series represents the pinnacle of corrosion testing technology, leveraging decades of expertise in testing equipment construction. Available in three chamber sizes (400L, 1000L, and 2000L), these instruments are crafted from impact-resistant, eco-friendly polypropylene materials, forming complete self-contained testing units.
Each Model 608-Basic features an integrated control unit with external storage tank for approximately 200L of salt solution, enabling continuous testing for up to a week without supervision. The dosing pump provides infinitely variable adjustment for optimal spray solution consumption, while a circulation pump ensures proper mixing of the salt solution in the storage tank.
Equipped with SIEMENS D7 200 PLC and SIMATIC touch screen interface, the control system offers user-friendly operation for cyclic corrosion tests compliant with VDA, VW, or SWAAT specifications. Five standard test programs are pre-installed, with program 6 available for custom configurations. The pneumatically operated dome allows convenient two-handed specimen placement.
These instruments are essential for testing ferrous and non-ferrous metals against continuous attack from humidity, acids, solutions, and gases. They enable proper assessment of surface protection materials and comparative quality control during production, using proven spray vapor tests with various salt solutions and condensation water climates.
