The TST 2 Thermal Shrinkage Tester from Lenzing Instruments provides efficient quality control for filament testing, measuring thermal shrinkage and shrinkage force of up to 2 samples simultaneously. This sophisticated instrument is designed for testing technical and industrial yarns such as tire cord, filament and spun yarns for textile applications, as well as plastic tapes.
Advanced Testing Capabilities
The thermal shrinkage properties of filament yarn are analyzed by heating samples at pre-set temperatures for specified periods. TST 2 offers dynamic testing capabilities, observing yarn behavior during temperature ramp exposure at constant rates. The specially designed oven-type heater protects measurements from ambient influences, ensuring stable testing conditions and highest accuracy.
Comprehensive Analysis and Control
During testing, the entire shrinkage behavior of heated yarn is graphically displayed on the connected PC, enabling precise monitoring and analysis of production irregularities. User-friendly software offers flexible testing with detailed result reports. The instrument performs fully automated, computer-controlled tests without operator influence on measurements.
Specialized HD Version Available
For high denier yarn applications, TST 2 HD is available, specially designed to withstand higher forces developed in coarse yarns. Both TST 2 and TST 2 HD conform to ASTM D4974, D5591 and EN 13844 standards.
