Cooled Vacuum Oven m360 VOcool - Memmert

Innovative Vacuum Drying for Temperature-Sensitive Materials

The Memmert Cooled Vacuum Oven m360 VOcool is a vacuum drying system designed to protect vulnerable items with precise vacuum control. By combining vacuum drying with Peltier-based cooling technology, it enables gentle drying below room temperature, making it ideal for temperature-sensitive materials in pharmaceutical research and demanding industrial material tests.

Peltier Cooling for Gentle, Uniform Drying

A Peltier cooling unit ensures a surface temperature distribution with a maximum deviation of ±1 K across the entire temperature range, from +5°C (at least 20°C below ambient temperature) up to +90°C. The aluminium cooling- and heating-combination integrates a cooling circuit and large-area heating with local Pt100 (4-wire) temperature sensing for tight, even control.

Precise Vacuum and Pressure Control

The VOcool operates across a vacuum range of 5 to 1100 mbar, with a permitted final vacuum of 0.01 mbar and a maximum leakage rate of 0.01 bar/h. Digital electronic pressure control drives a speed-controlled vacuum pump, while a programmable, digitally controlled air inlet and DN16 small-flange vacuum connection give repeatable, well-defined drying conditions. Vacuum, air and inert-gas tubing is made of material 1.4571 (ASTM 316 Ti).

TwinDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT

The oven is operated through the TwinDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT, an adaptive multifunctional digital PID-microprocessor controller with two high-definition TFT colour displays. A digital timer (1 minute to 99 days), SetpointWAIT function, AutoSAFETY over- and under-temperature protection, and integral fault diagnostics keep processes safe and traceable. AtmoCONTROL software lets you program, manage and transfer routines via the Ethernet interface or USB port.

Robust Construction and Flexible Sizes

The hermetically welded stainless steel interior (material 1.4404, ASTM 316 L) has removable side panels and is housed in a textured stainless steel casing on four adjustable feet. A full-sight glass door with a 15 mm safety-glass panel allows visual monitoring of the load. The VOcool is available in three interior volumes - 29 litres (VO29cool), 49 litres (VO49cool) and 101 litres (VO101cool) - to suit a wide range of throughput and sample sizes.
