High-Frequency Embedded EIS for Premium Potentiostats

The Premium EIS Board brings BioLogic’s highest-frequency electrochemical impedance spectroscopy capability to the Premium potentiostat range, measuring impedance from 11 MHz down to 10 µHz with outstanding accuracy across the entire range. This wide frequency window makes it possible to investigate the fast interfacial processes that are crucial for battery research, corrosion studies and advanced materials characterization.

The option is offered in two versions: an 11 MHz option (part number 094-101/11p) for the latest Premium “p” boards, and a 7 MHz option (part number 094-101/2p). Premium “p” boards — the October 2025 design — can be upgraded all the way to 11 MHz, while older “non-p” boards can reach up to 7 MHz. Different board types can be mixed within the same chassis, and EIS can be pre-integrated at purchase or added later through a factory upgrade.

Every measurement benefits from EIS QI™ quality indicators (THD, NSD, NSR) and a patented drift-correction algorithm that assesses cell stationarity, helping you trust the validity of your impedance data. Control and analysis run in EC-Lab®, which adds adaptive amplitude for GEIS setups together with Z Inst, Z Fit and sensitivity-analysis tools; EC-Lab® is also available as an OEM Developer Package.
