The Memmert CO2 Incubator ICO is a next-generation incubator engineered for demanding cell culture applications in research, clinical and pharmaceutical settings. It provides stable, homogeneous cultivation conditions for delicate cell cultures, with condensation-free operation up to 95 % relative humidity at 37 °C.
Precise Atmosphere Control
The ICO maintains precise temperature, humidity and CO2 distribution throughout the chamber. The temperature setting range spans +20 °C to +50 °C with a variation of ±0.3 K at 37 °C, while CO2 can be regulated from 0 to 20 %. An optional O2 control package supports hypoxic and anaerobic workflows across a 1 to 20 % O2 range.
Contamination Control
Hygiene is built in: an integrated hot-air sterilisation routine runs for 60 minutes at 180 °C without the need to remove sensors, and integrated HEPA filtration recirculates the complete air volume approximately every 60 seconds. Stainless steel interior and exterior surfaces keep cleaning simple.
Smart Control and Connectivity
The ICO is operated via an integrated touch display and offers Ethernet LAN and USB interfaces, an integrated data logger with up to ten years of storage, and remote monitoring. A battery-buffered control system keeps the display, logging and CO2 control running during power failures, while RFID and fingerprint user management adds access control.
