Active Humidity Control for Demanding Climate Tests

The Memmert Humidity Chamber HCP (Humidity Chamber Perfect) provides precise, actively controlled temperature and humidity for environmental testing, accelerated life tests and stability studies. With a setting temperature range of +18 to +90 °C and active humidity control from 20 to 95 % rh, it creates a controlled, reproducible environment for 85/85 tests, climate and material tests, and component reliability work.

Precise, Reproducible Conditions

Two Pt100 DIN Class A sensors in a 4-wire circuit monitor each other and deliver a temperature setting resolution of 0.1 °C, while active humidification and dehumidification hold relative humidity to a setting resolution of 0.5 % rh. Any temperature and humidity combination within the working range can be set and reliably reproduced across test cycles.

Humidity Without Condensation

Humidity is supplied with distilled water from an external tank by a self-priming pump; humidification uses hot steam with an integral bacteria block, and dehumidification runs via a sterile filter. Combined with 6-sided large-area heating, additional door and back heating, and an extra heated inner glass door, this keeps interior surfaces warm and minimises condensation, while giving low contamination risk and short recovery times after the door is opened. The interior is high-grade stainless steel (material 1.4301 / ASTM 304).

Four Sizes to Suit Every Lab

The HCP range is available in four interior volumes - HCP50 (56 L), HCP105 (107 L), HCP150 (156 L) and HCP240 (241 L) - so the chamber can be matched to sample throughput and available space. All models run on a 230 V, 50/60 Hz supply, with a 115 V version available.

Intuitive Control and Documentation

The HCP is operated through Memmert’s ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY controller, an adaptive PID microprocessor controller with two high-definition TFT color displays. A SetpointWAIT function ensures the process only starts once the set temperature is reached, while AtmoCONTROL software programs, manages and transfers test profiles via the Ethernet LAN or USB interface. Integral autodiagnostics and the AutoSAFETY (ASF) over- and undertemperature monitor provide reliable, documented operation. The chambers are CE, UL and GS marked and carry a 3-year worldwide guarantee.
