Beverage Bottle & Can Pneumatic Sampler for Gas-Preserving Laboratory Sampling

Product Description

The Beverage Bottle & Can Pneumatic Sampler from Technica Entwicklungsgesellschaft is built for secure, loss-free and pressure-maintaining sample removal from bottles and cans. By keeping the package under pressure throughout sampling, it preserves the dissolved gas in the product — making it ideal for gas analyses such as oxygen and CO₂ determination, as well as foam stability measurements.

In operation, the bottle or can is placed on the pressure plate and the yoke is adjusted before the cabinet door is closed. Switching on the piercing mechanism lifts the container against the yoke and pierces the closure pneumatically, so no large manual forces are required. A standpipe is then lowered into the bottle and pressure is applied, drawing the sample without loss of carbonation.

The sampler accepts PET and glass bottles as well as cans, handling containers up to 120 mm (4.7 in) in diameter and 340 mm (13.4 in) in height, with other dimensions available on request, across a 0 to 6 bar (0 to 87 psi) pressure range. An automatic piercing system, adjustable piercing force and pressure, a protective safety cabinet and a rugged design make it a straightforward, reliable tool for beverage quality-control and R&D laboratories.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the beverage pneumatic sampler used for?
It is designed for secure, loss-free and pressure-maintaining sample removal from bottles and cans — for example to prepare samples for gas analyses (such as oxygen and CO₂) and foam stability measurements without losing dissolved gas.
How does the sampler take a sample?
Place the bottle or can on the pressure plate and adjust the yoke if needed, then close the cabinet door. Switching on the piercing mechanism lifts the container against the yoke and pierces the closure pneumatically. A standpipe is then lowered into the bottle and pressure is applied, so the sample is drawn while package pressure is maintained.
Which containers and sizes can it handle?
It works with PET and glass bottles as well as cans, accepting a maximum bottle diameter of 120 mm (4.7 in) and a maximum bottle height of 340 mm (13.4 in). Other dimensions are available on request.
What pressure range does it cover?
The sampler operates across a pressure range of 0 to 6 bar (0 to 87 psi), and the applied pressure is adjustable to suit the package and the analysis being performed.
Does the piercing require manual force?
No. Piercing is performed pneumatically, so no great manual forces are needed. The system pierces automatically, with adjustable piercing force, and operates inside a safety cabinet for safe, easy handling.
What analyses is the sampler suited to?
Because sampling is loss-free and pressure-maintaining, the unit is well suited to gas analyses such as oxygen and CO₂ determination, as well as foam stability measurements on carbonated beverages.
