LCS 710 P Laboratory Carbonation System – Precision CO₂ Dosing for Beverage R&D

Product Description

The LCS 710 P Laboratory Carbonation System from Technica Entwicklungsgesellschaft carbonates individual beverage samples to an exactly pre-defined CO₂ content. It makes it possible to reproduce carbonated samples easily and quickly for analysis, giving beverage developers and quality labs a fast, repeatable way to dial in carbonation and prepare tasting samples for sensory testing.

In operation, an injection probe is pushed into the test bottle and a pressure of approximately 6 bar is generated inside it. Two defined snift phases remove the air (or other gases) from the package headspace, and a dosing piston then adds an exact pre-defined quantity of CO₂ to the liquid — anywhere from 0 to 10 g/l with a dosing accuracy of ±0.1 g/l for consistent, repeatable results.

The fully automatic, menu-driven system carbonates both glass and plastic (PET) bottles, with automatic headspace purging, double dosing-speed selection and an optimised cleaning program. Developed by Technica more than 20 years ago and still produced at its factory in Ratzeburg, the LCS 710 P is ideal for small-scale production and R&D — letting you test new formulations, flavours and carbonation levels without the cost and waste of large-scale trials.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the LCS 710 P carbonate a beverage sample?
An injection probe is pushed into the test bottle and a pressure of approximately 6 bar is generated inside it. Two defined snift phases then remove the air or other gases from the package headspace, after which a dosing piston adds an exact, pre-defined quantity of CO₂ to the liquid. This produces a reproducible sample ready for analysis.
How accurate is the CO₂ dosing?
The LCS 710 P dispenses CO₂ with an accuracy of ±0.1 g/l, giving consistent, repeatable carbonation levels across samples — ideal for comparing formulations and carbonation targets in R&D and quality control.
What bottle types and sizes can it handle?
It carbonates both glass and plastic (PET) bottles. Glass bottles up to 360 mm height and 100 mm diameter, and PET bottles up to 330 mm height and 90 mm diameter, covering the container formats commonly used in beverage development.
What power supply does the system need?
The LCS 710 P runs on a power supply of 230 V / 50 Hz (or 115 V / 60 Hz). It measures 560 × 610 × 280 mm (W × H × D) and weighs 33 kg, making it a compact benchtop unit.
What are the maximum operating pressures?
Carbonation typically runs at a working bottle pressure of about 6 bar, with a maximum permitted bottle pressure of 7 bar.
What is the LCS 710 P used for?
It is designed for laboratory and small-scale beverage work — preparing reproducible carbonated samples for analysis and producing tasting samples with varying CO₂ content, so you can test new formulations, flavours and carbonation levels without costly large-scale trials.
