The K Printing Proofer from RK Print produces high quality proofs instantly using gravure, gravure-offset or flexo inks. Using electronically engraved printing plates, it lets printers, converters and ink manufacturers reproduce press-quality results in the laboratory, so colour and print performance can be evaluated long before a production run.
Almost any flexible substrate can be printed or laminated on the proofer, and its compact 400 x 500 mm footprint makes it an ideal bench-top tool for research, quality control and presentation work.
Performance
Variable printing speeds of up to 40 m/min mean inks can be run at viscosities close to those used on a production press, giving proofs that closely match the final printed result. Micrometer control delivers excellent printability and repeatability, while multiple ink samples can be printed simultaneously for direct comparison. The resulting proofs are suitable for computer colour matching or spectrophotometer readings.
The proofer is easy to operate and clean, and all parts are solvent resistant for reliable use with solvent-based inks.
