Product Description
The Battery Testing Package (BTP) from RMS is a fire protection system purpose-built for vibration and shock testing of lithium-ion batteries. Developed in cooperation with fire-protection specialist Minimax (patent pending), it lets test laboratories run demanding vibration and shock profiles on battery cells and packs while keeping personnel and equipment protected against thermal runaway events.
The system combines multi-channel detection with a non-corrosive, non-conductive cooling liquid and exhaust gas ventilation. Because the medium is non-water-based and needs no nitrogen, it is well suited to electronics-rich test environments. The BTP is rated for EUCAR Hazard Level 6 of 7, covering severe battery failure scenarios.
