Product Description
The SW1500 from RMS is an air-cooled electrodynamic vibration test system built for testing small, lightweight objects at high frequencies. It is described as “very stimulating and extremely reliable,” and is a popular choice for applications such as turbochargers, motor add-on parts, sensor testing and plug connections.
The system can excite test specimens at frequencies up to 5 kHz, which makes it equally suitable for calibrating measurement sensors and for structural analysis as a modal exciter. A wear-free return spring system delivers high transverse rigidity while still allowing a comparatively large displacement amplitude of 20 mm pk-pk, and the design needs no rollers or roller-like accessories.
Key Features
- Up to 3 kN sine and random force, up to 5 kN shock force
- Frequency range up to 5 kHz
- Maximum velocity of 2.5 m/s
- Large displacement amplitude of 20 mm pk-pk with high transverse rigidity
- Air-cooled for simple installation and operation
- Automatic weight compensation guarantees full travel amplitude even with high payloads
- Wear-free return spring system with no rollers required
- Operates both horizontally and vertically
With its high frequency capability and compact, air-cooled design, the SW1500 is ideally suited to laboratories testing small components and to metrology applications such as accelerometer and sensor calibration.
