Product Description
The SW9113 ATEX from RMS is, in the manufacturer’s words, the only electrodynamic vibration test system in the world that can be operated safely in potentially explosive atmospheres. It brings the proven performance of the RMS SW9100 series into hazardous (Ex) areas, where conventional shakers cannot be used.
The oscillating systems meet the current EU Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and are TUV-certified, drawing on more than ten years of RMS experience with ATEX-compliant test technology. This lets laboratories perform explosive tests, resonance determination, and ageing and strength tests on sensors and complete assemblies - such as injection systems, fuel pumps and batteries - in the very environments those products are built to withstand.
Key Features
- Built for safe operation in potentially explosive (Ex) atmospheres - ATEX per EU Directive 2014/34/EU, TUV-certified
- Up to 80 kN sine and random force, up to 160 kN shock force
- Usable frequency range of 5 - 2500 Hz
- Shock capability of 3.5 m/s for 100g / 11 ms shocks, with full-power precision down to 0.1g
- Water cooling system (57 dBA) with an ECO mode for energy savings
- Wear-free return spring system with high transverse rigidity despite 76 mm pk-pk travel
- RMS guide elements reduce lateral acceleration
- Fully automatic centre positioning
- Modular, compact design with multiple expansion stages
- Complies with EnEV2016 and ISO 14001
Designed for demanding qualification work in hazardous environments, the SW9113 ATEX combines high force, precise control and energy-efficient water cooling so that explosive, durability and resonance testing can be carried out safely and repeatably.
