Product Description

SMART Lab is the measurement and analysis software for Optomet’s SMART series laser Doppler vibrometers. It provides a continuous digital signal path from acquisition through analysis, combining remote instrument control, data acquisition and vibration analysis in a single application.

The software remotely controls vibrometer settings, lasers and camera, and can connect to and operate several vibrometers at the same time for reference, multipoint and 3D vibration measurements. Each connected device provides a live 4K video feed, and laser calibration can be performed automatically or manually using camera imaging.

Data acquisition uses a multi-channel arbitrary signal generator that produces predefined signals such as sine, sine sweep, rectangle and random, as well as custom signals. Signals are analysed in real time using speckle tracking and smart averaging, and results are shown simultaneously in the time and frequency domains.

For analysis, SMART Lab calculates frequency functions including FRF, FFT, Auto-Spectrum, Cross-Spectrum and Coherence. Mode shapes can be animated in 3D at user-defined frequencies based on FRF and FFT data, with customizable color maps, viewing angles and texture surfaces. Supported measurement modes include single-point, multi-point and reference, 3D vibration, time-domain wave propagation visualization, and modal analysis.

Data can be imported and exported in Universal File Format (.uff), Hierarchical Data Format (.hdf5) and MATLAB format (.mat), and animations can be exported as video at up to 4K resolution. Optional modules add a geometry unit for 3D object measurement, time domain analysis and animation, and modal analysis. Software maintenance plans are available for 2 or 4 years.
